Giles County residents are urged to apply for a free Giles County Public Library Card to gain access to all the variety of services.

Out-of-county residents may obtain a card for $10 or free if their home library participates in the Tennessee Library Card system.

In addition to books, the library card gives someone free access to online book downloads, audio books, music CDs, DVDs, pre-loaded Nooks, computer courses, computer access, mobile hotspots, Kill-A-Watt meters, boating safety exams, programs, book club, writer’s club and much more.

According to an employee at the library, their mission is to be the community’s center for information and resources while continually encouraging the love of reading and life-long learning. We strive to connect our communities through technology, programs, and outreach to educate, enrich, and entertain all ages.

Children ages 4 to 16 may also apply for a library card with parent or guardian supplying the required identification. Lost library cards will be replaced at a cost of $1.00
