The city of Minor Hill has approved construction on a full service convenience center.

Mayor Tracy Wilburn announced in early March that the city had been approved the center with a government grant and construction will begin in coming months.

The convenience center will be located below the Minor Hill Farm and Home Center on Wray Branch Road and will accept recyclables, bagged household trash and empty paint cans with lids off and dried out and also appliances.

Only residential items will be accepted, no business or commercial waste.

Once finished, the Minor Hill center will be the fourth full-service center.
