Work has begun on the restoration of the David Crockett statue on the downtown square in Lawrenceburg.

Scaffolding is up and covering the statue which has been watching over the square since September 1922.  It is anticipated to take approximately 7 days to complete once the process begins.

In November the Lawrenceburg city council voted and approved a resolution authorizing the city administrator to enter into negotiations with Terra Mare Conservation, who is doing the restoration and repair work.
