New Prospect firefighters were called to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 64 near the Wesley Chapel Road intersection just after 6 Monday night, according to media reports.

At least one person was airlifted from the scene to a regional hospital for treatment of injuries. 

Later in the evening, members of the Maury County Fire Department were called to a rollover accident on Highway 43 near the Workman Bridge. The vehicle was on fire when crews arrived but firemen quickly contained the blaze. 

The victim in the crash as reportedly out of the car by the time firefighters arrived at the scene. 

The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating both incidents.
