Fire crews in Lawrence County were busy Saturday answering emergency calls involving two car accidents and a house fire.

Members of the Leoma, Crossroads, Centerpoint and New Prospect Fire Departments were called to a two vehicle head-on crash with injuries on Highway 43 near the Purcell Lane intersection. Two medical helicopters were summoned to the scene for two of the victims while a third was transported by Lawrence County EMS to Southern Tennessee Regional for treatment.

Also, Crossroads firefighters were called to a single vehicle crash on Fall River Road.  Tennessee Highway Patrol is investing the accident.

A house fire on Carol Road in Summertown was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived. Members of the Summertown, Ethridge, and Henryville Fire Department responded to the blaze.

Cause of the fire is under investigation.
