Updated march 7, 2019

March has been declared as UT Extension Month in Giles County and throughout Tennessee.

The Extension's office is located at 132 South Second in Pulaski and offers many educational programs to the community such as 4-H and Master Beef classes. The scope of classes reaches all age groups and are designed to educate people in many life facets, farms and non-farm.

According to Giles Extension Director Kevin Rose, their job is to offer training and certifications to any interested members of the community.

To promote the UT Extension office, five bags will be given away at the end of March. Each contain items related to specific theme and offering a wide variety of prizes.

While the bags vary in content each one contains highly sought items such as scholarships for 4-H camp, Master beef classes, cookbooks, and soil samples. Value of each bag is approximately 350 dollars.

Rose encourages all citizens to drop by the office throughout March to meet the staff and learn more about the various Extension programs and resources. Anyone can visit their website at www.giles.tennessee.edu.
