Calie Gilbert has been named Southside's Elementary Student of the Month.

She is a SES Student Leader and serves as morning car greeter where she welcomes students with a word of greeting and a big smile. She also serves on the school newspaper and is co-interviewer of the faculty and staff.

Math is her favorite school subject and active in sports where she plays fall soccer in the Giles County Soccer league and is currently playing Saturday league basketball.

She also enjoys swimming shopping and choreography dancing.

Calie is a fifth grader at Southside Elementary.
