A 58-year-old man was killed in a head-on crash in Maury County Saturday night.  

The crash happened around 11:30 p.m. on Highway 43 near Old Jackson Highway.

The Maury County Fire Department reported crews found three victims trapped inside the vehicles, one of which was pronounced dead at the scene.  

The Tennessee Highway Patrol identified the victim as Johnny Scott, 58,  of Lawrenceburg. 

According to the report,  a 2006 Chrysler driven by Scott was southbound in the north bound lane of HWY 43 and hit a Land Rover head on.

The Land Rover was driven by Thomas Blalock, 33, of Thompson Station. Kendra Long, 29, also of Thompson Station was a passenger in Blalock's vehicle.

Maury County EMS  reported all those involved were trapped in the vehicles and had to be extricated and one of the injured was airlifted to Vanderbilt.

The trooper reported that alcohol was a factor and both drivers were tested and criminal charges are pending.

Blalock was issued citations for not wearing his seat belt and failure to change address.
