On Wednesday Tala Verley was extradited to the Giles County Sheriff’s Department from Madison County, Alabama based upon an indictment from the Giles County Grand Jury to answer charges of 2nd-degree murder, tampering with evidence, possession of a controlled substance for resale, and possession of a firearm during a dangerous felony.

The charges stem from an incident that occurred October 6, 2018 at 776 Rolin Hollow Road. Giles County Sheriff's Department investigated this matter, and Investigator Timmy Scott is the lead investigator.
