Giles County Superintendant of Roads Barry Hyatt warned motorists this morning to use caution when driving on the wet roads and those who did not need to be out, he said should stay off the roads.

Hyatt said his workers have been very busy today (Wednesday) posting Road Closure Signs in flooded areas.

Roads in Giles County that are closed include Guy Davis Road in Minor Hill, Robertson Hollow Road, Gunter Ridge Road,  Old Campbellsville in two locations, and Minnow Branch, Green Valley Road behind 5 Points Market on Highway 64, Giles Rotary Park, Thomas Road at Tarpley Shop, Puncheon Branch, Dixon Town, Blue Creek, Vales Mill, Clear Creek and Crescent View Road. Additional roads include Thomas Road, Agnew, Old Agnew, Stella, Tacketts Branch, Shoal Creek, McCree Lane, Tarpley Shop, Buchannan Creek, Morrell Road, Leatherwood Creek, Amos Hamlet Road, Weakley Creek, Horn Hill, Big Dry Creek Road, Providence Road, Gilbert Curry, and Bass Road.

Also, reports show electricity was out north of Pulaski and in the Elkton area.  Pulaski Electric Service (PES) could not be reached for comment.
