An Alabama man will be returned to Giles County authorities to face charges in a 2015 crime spree.

Casey White, 35, of Tanner, was convicted Thursday in Limestone County Circuit Court of  attempting to kill his ex-girlfriend and kidnapping her two roommates on December 1, 2015.

White’s jealous rage triggered a two-state crime spree and chase and is facing 20 years to life in prison.

After a sentence hearing, White will be sent to Giles County to face multiple charges related to the same crime spree, including attempted first-degree murder, two counts of attempted carjacking and one count of theft over $10,000.

According to records, White entered his girlfriend's home armed with a .40-caliber handgun and a .380-caliber handgun, where he held her and two roommates at gunpoint.  The girlfriend ran from the scene and the other two occupants escaped through a window.

White left the scene where he attempted to hijack a trucker at the Tennessee Welcome Center near mile marker 3 on Interstate 65 in Giles County. He later ran across the parking lot where a Kentucky woman was sitting in her car. He demanded she let him in and when she refused, the man began firing, striking the woman multiple times in the left arm.

Giles County investigators received another call at a Pilot gas station on Exit 22.  A man matching White's description stole a Lincoln and was headed south.

White was later captured in Athens, Alabama after wrecking the Lincoln.
