Lynnville residents will see a water rate increase on March 5.

The rate was approved by the Mayor and Alderman after an increase by the Fairview Utility District.

The utility company does not bill on the first 2,400 gallons of water used per month, but the City of Lynnville does charge the customer.

Also, garbage rates in Lynnville will remain the same while the town and Waste Management discuss future issues.

The garbage contract has run out with Waste Management , but the two work on a month to month agreement.
