There was a vote taken this morning at the Giles County Commission's special session, but no one was elected to fill the District 4 Commissioner seat.

With 19 commissioners present, one of the three candidates nominated would have needed 11 votes to be the clear-cut winner. Dewayne Jones received 10 votes and Bill Young received nine votes, which is the same outcome as the vote taken in May.

District 7 Commissioner Tommy Campbell did not attend today's special session. The third to be nominated for the vacated commissioner seat was Randy Boaz.

County Executive Janet Vanzant said another vote will be taken July 17th, the Commission's next regular meeting.
