A legacy and tradition that lives on in Giles County is the Red Carpet Horse Show of the South. This is the 77th year of the horse show, which is set for Saturday, July 22nd, at the Giles Agri-Park.

The Red Carpet showcases the best of the best and is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Pulaski.

This year it features 30 classes of Walking horses. The Fine Harness Class features the horse pulling a four-wheel buggy. A fun class has been added this year. The Rotary Ribbon REACH is open to locals, amateurs and professionals and it involves a duo of horses and a ribbon of toilet paper.

Classic Southern concessions available include barbecue, country ham sandwiches, ice cream, fried pies and more.

General admission at the gate is $6 for ages 12 and older. Box seating is $60, which includes the admission cost.

For more information or to reserve box seating, call Show Manager Katie Journey at 931-205-0357.
