The Lawrence County Sheriff's Department is seeking the public's help in locating a subject wanted in connection with a burglary that occurred over the weekend.  

According to reports, deputies responded to a residence on Henryville Road on Saturday to speak to a complainant who advised that they had just arrived at the house and discovered the garage door had been broken and the contents of the garage had been taken.  

The back door of the residence was also kicked in and personal items rummaged through with various items missing.  Among the items taken include tools, fishing rods, a shot gun, a skeet throwing machine, a 2005 Kawasaki side by side, a 2017 Kawasaki four wheeler, a 2002 Honda four wheeler, a 2016 John Deere tractor with bush hog, and a 2016 Kawasaki mule.  

Estimated value approximately sixty thousand dollars.  The alleged suspect was last seen on Barnsville Road.  The sheriff's department is currently seeking, 30 year old, George Michael Bennett, who is described as a white male, six foot tall, 210 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.
