A Limestone County man has been charged in connection to a shooting Monday afternoon according to a social media post from the Limestone County Sheriff's Office.

Corey Farris, 33, was charged with second-degree felony assault. The female victim suffered a gunshot wound to the right shoulder.

Deputies responded to the call on Alabama 127 Monday after a call came into 911 to report the incident. The female victim was taken to Huntsville Hospital for treatment and Farris was detained and later charged.

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the case.
