A Maury County man has been arrested for setting his home on fire Monday.

According to media sources firefighters from Maury County and Spring Hill put out the smoky blaze on Hwy.431 just south of Kedron Rd., east of Columbia.  

The Maury County Sheriff’s Department said when they tried to arrest the suspect, at first he led them on a ‘low-speed” chase.  Then he returned to the property and surrendered to deputies. 

No further information has been released about his identity or a possible motive.
