The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office is taking part in Project Child Safe by distributing gun cable locks.

Department officials said the sheriff’s department has received about 200 gun cable locks. The locks will be free to anyone living in Lawrence County.

The sheriff’s office is encouraging anyone who has a gun in their home to get one of these gun locks.

The gun cable locks can be picked up at the sheriff’s department on West Gaines Street in Lawrenceburg.
