The Giles County Sheriff’s Department and sheriff Kyle Helton have come up with a unique fundraising event. They’re calling it a “No Shave November”

If you notice deputies and the sheriff with facial hair, it will be for a good reason. Two winners will be chosen, the longest beard, and grayest.

There are 25 staff members participating in this charity event.

At the end of November the group will determine the two winners, and a donation will be made to the charity of their choice.

The female employees at the Sheriffs Department are not left out, they will be competing in an ugly sweater contest on December 6th. The winner of this contest will contribute the proceeds to a local charity of their choice. This will allow the ladies enough time for them to shop and find the ugliest sweater available.
