Burglaries from vehicles have been on the rise in the Middle Tennessee area and in the past six weeks the Columbia Police Department advised they have seen an increase.  

This type of crime, in the vast majority of cases, is a crime of opportunity and 87% of the vehicle burglaries reported to the Columbia Police Department have been to vehicles that were left unlocked.

The Pulaski Police Department had a problem recently with vehicles that had been broken into, and items being taken from vehicles inside the city. Due to arrests that were made to a group of juveniles there has been no problem with this recently in the city.
