Giles County students excelled in assessment tests in understanding and mastery of the English language. All students who qualify for English Learner services take the assessment test each spring until they reach proficiency in English.

The assessments look to make sure all students are developing in their understanding and mastery of the English language,

The scores show that Giles County schools were among six of Tennessee’s school districts that had 80 percent or more students meet or exceed growth standards.
