Traffic is heavy on I-65 north to Tennessee as folks from Alabama are hoping to cash in on the Mega Millions drawing tonight. Reports indicate the Ardmore exit had traffic backed up with cars streaming in to Tennessee to purchase their lottery tickets.

Tonight’s Mega Millions grand prize has hit a staggering $1 billion, continuing a trend of giant jackpots. It’s the second-largest lottery prize in U.S. history and joins five other top 10 drawings in the last three years.
