The Giles County F.O.P. Lodge 94 has the “Run For Others” event this Saturday starting at 8:00am. This is a four and six mile charity/run walk to raise money for community events like the “Cops & Kids” program at Christmas.

Entry forms are available at the sheriff’s department or police department, with prizes given to the winners in each division. The entry fee is $20.00.

According to Deputy Scott Nations, the Giles County Fraternal Order of Police has added a Trap Shooting contest to Saturday's "Run For Others" event.  This will be held from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. at the Wakefield Trap Field.  For more information, contact David Robinson at 615-804-7326.  Proceeds go the  Cops and Kids program.
