The Lawrenceburg Police Department is investigating an attempted burglary of a business that occurred early Monday morning.

According to reports, officers responded to Tazmart on West Gaines Street to a report of an alarm.  Once on scene the front door was found damaged. The store owner arrived on the scene and video footage of a white Chevrolet Lumina backing into the store hitting the door was obtained.

The vehicle's trunk was open at the time, and once the vehicle hit, glass shattered and the trunk shut.  One person entered the store, ran towards the cash machine and shook it.  He then ran and opened the rear door of the vehicle, then paused and closed the door before driving away.

Video footage of the suspect vehicle was also seen at the Shell Station on West Gaines Street and was last seen leaving the area on West Point road.  The white Chevy Lumina should have some rear end damage.  Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Lawrenceburg Police Department.
