Police are investigating after a person was killed in a shooting in Hohenwald early Tuesday morning. 

The police department posted to its social media pages to alert the public of the shooting described as "isolated."

Officials later said the person shot on Roney Avenue had died, but did not release the person's identity.

Investigators said an acquaintance of the victim was taken into custody for questioning but has since been interviewed and released.

No other details have been released.
