The 1986 Kawasaki that caught fire at HP Fuel Max on West College Street is a total loss, said Pulaski Fire Chief Don Collins. He estimates the value at $1,200 dollars.

Owner Larry Wayne Sheperd gassed up his ride before walking into the convenience store to pay. The motorcycle caught fire seconds later sitting approximately two feet away from the gas pump. It fell over and a small amount of gas spilled.

The motorcycle was fully involved when the Pulaski Fire Department arrived.

Chief Collins said although it looked bad, the danger was at a minimum.
