With the announcement of the new Toyota Mazda plant in Limestone Country, predictions are already being made of possible locations in the south for suppliers to the plant.  

According to Southern Business and Development magazine, several counties within the area have been chosen among the 25 best possible sites.  

In Alabama, Lauderdale and Limestone counties were selected, and in Tennessee, Giles, Maury, Lincoln and Lawrence counties.  The magazine compiled the list based on their data, which included distance to the new plant as well as existing companies in the region.  

Just this week, the Shoals Economic Development Authority cut the ribbon on their latest spec building located in the Rogersville business park on us 72 Wednesday afternoon.  This is the third spec building the development board has built in Rogersville in hopes of putting themselves in prime position to bring growth their way.

The first two are occupied, with interest already being shown for this one and a second one being constructed in the Research Air Park in Muscle Shoals.
