At the September 25th meeting of the Pulaski Mayor and Aldermen, several issues were discussed and most approved.

When the meeting was opened up for remarks regarding the agenda, several citizens spoke out concerning the consideration of an ordinance that would amend the sale of beer.  This amendment concerned the sale of off premises beer in businesses.  With confusion and concerns on what the effect of the amendment would mean, the item was tabled until the next work session to be held next Monday at 4:30.

Parade permits were given to the Pulaski First United Methodist Church Fall Festival on October 21st and their Living Nativity on December 9th.

Bids for two pickup trucks were opened with Sharp Motor Company bidding $27,237.36 for a 2019 F150 Super Cab 4 by 4. Landers McClarty of Huntsville also made a bid of $23,663.00 for a 2019 Quad Cab Dodge 1500 4 by 4. These bids were referred to City Administrator Terry Harrison to accept the best and lowest bid.

The city wants to upgrade the downtown lighting with new decorative ones and advertised for bids.  Those responding were John Bouchard (Boo- Shard) & Sons of Nashville with a base bid of $327,878 for seventy-one lights and a deductive alternate bid of $109,215 for 27 lights.  The second bid came from Stansell Electric Company of Nashville with a bid of $339,025 and $115,290 for the deductive alternate.  These bids were referred to the City Administrator with permission to select the best and lowest bid.
