In neighboring Maury County…

A Tennessee jury has awarded nearly $2.1 million to plaintiffs asserting claims on behalf of a former maintenance mechanic, allocating 13% liability to the lone remaining defendant at the time of the verdict, Ameron International Corp.

The Tennessee Circuit Court for Maury County jury reached the verdict on Sept. 19 after an eight-day trial. Judge Robert E. Lee Davies presided over the trial.

The underlying claims were filed on behalf of James W. Davis. Davis, according to the plaintiffs, was a career industrial maintenance mechanic for Stauffer Chemical; his employment caused him to come into contact with Asbestos.
