An investigation is underway into a chase on I-24 that ended in the death of a Tennessee man.


Sunday, McCracken County Sheriff’s deputies joined in on a car chase on eastbound I-24.


The car was fleeing Massac County Sheriff’s deputies and had crossed the Ohio River Bridge into Kentucky.


The car was driving over 120 miles per hour and at one point exited the interstate in Paducah.


The car then hit a curb, causing multiple tires to deflate. The driver, then got back on I-24 before the car stopped against a guardrail.


Deputies found the driver, 28-year-old Kyle Brown of Columbia, Tennessee, dead in the car, of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.


A passenger was taken from the car and later interviewed.


An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
