A Maury County man has been arrested for attempted murder.

According to the Daily Herald, Mustafa Malik Slater, 22, of Columbia, was arrested Thursday following an investigation into a shooting that occurred on Tuesday.

Emergency personnel were called to a residence on Granada Drive to a report of a gunshot wound. Officers found Kevin Eugene Hill, 41, lying in the middle of the road. Hill was transported to Maury Regional Hospital where he was later air lifted to Vanderbilt Medical Center. The investigation is ongoing.
