In an effort to promote more visibility for bicyclists on the Natchez Trace Parkway, free safety equipment will be available.

Bicycle safety lights and vests will be available free to cyclists from Natchez Trace Parkway rangers and at visitor centers on the parkway, says the National Park Service and Natchez Trace Parkway Association.

The flashing lights and high-visibility vests were donated through the Gary Holdiness Cycling Fund of the Natchez Trace Parkway Association, say reports.

People driving on the Natchez Trace are reminded to change lanes to pass bicyclists and never pass or change lanes when the view of oncoming traffic is limited.
