The Pulaski Board of Mayor and Alderman met in regular session Tuesday with a very short agenda.

Parade permits were granted for two Martin Methodist College events and one for the Giles County Humane Association.

The Resolution to award the bid on the gas line extension to the Tennessee Distillery property was passed with the bid going to the lowest bidder, TJ Construction of Florence Alabama, at a cost of just over $429,000.

The next item asked for an authorization to advertise for bids for a Tourism Enhancement Grant. The Giles County Chamber of Commerce CEO, Jessie Parker introduced information on the Grant to the Board and it was agreed that the bid would be placed.

The Tourism Enhancement Grant provides for the hiring of a consultant to make suggestions on how to create tourism income in Giles County, including better marketing skills on presenting the assets Giles County offers to tourist.
