The Giles County Board of Commissioners have a meeting scheduled for Monday September 17, at 9:00 at the courthouse.

This will be the first meeting since the recent election, and there will be lots of new business to take care of. A replacement will need to be chosen for second district school board member David Wamble, who resigned effective August 31st.

Elections will be held for various offices including chairman, chairman pro tem, and chaplain. Various committee assignments will be chosen for members of the commission. Reports will also be received and filed from the previous county executive for the General Fund, Highway Department, Capital Projects, and others.

Economic Director Bethany Shockney will address the commission, and the commission will also authorize the surety bonds for county officials and employees required to be bonded.
