Willie Earl Staggs, age 77 of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away on Friday, September 24, 2021 at his residence. He was of the Baptist faith. He was retired from the Lawrence County Highway Department and in his spare time he enjoyed doing mechanic work. He played baseball for the Deerfield community center in his younger years. Willie was a beloved Husband and Father who will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Hester Staggs; Son, Jeffery Earl Staggs; Brother, Frank Staggs.

He is survived by his Wife of 56 years, Janet Staggs; Son, Alan Staggs; Daughter, Kathy Mott (Ron); Brother Thomas Staggs (Judy); 8 Grandchildren; 3 Great Grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Chapel on Monday, September 27, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. with a graveside service to follow at Highland cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Brother David Smith will be officiating.

Interment will be at Highland Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Jude Children Hospital.

The family would also like to ask that all attendees practice social distancing guidelines.
