Hugh Clifton Munro, Jr., age 95 of Pulaski, passed away Friday September 3, 2021 at his home.

Hugh led a long life and had many great experiences. As a young man he was sent off to World War 2 where he was part of the glider infantry where he gained a love of flying. Upon returning home he got his pilot's license and flew for many years. He was self taught and would go on to work as a machinist and become and excellent woodworker, building many things for his home and family. He was also a police chief in his hometown of Morrice, Michigan. As well as being a race car driver. During this time he met and married Eunice Wilson. They had two daughters, Victoria and Mary. Eunice preceded him in death and he would later go on to marry Mary Kightlinger. He would move to Pulaski, TN and spend the rest of his life there.

Hugh was survived by his daughters Victoria(Munro) Ortwine, and Mary (Munro) Chapman and Guy Chapman. Grandsons Eric Ortwine and Petty Officer First Class Robert H Piper US Navy. As well as close friend, neighbor and caregiver Thomas Garner. Preceded in death by his parents Alice (Root), and Hugh Clifton Munro Sr. Sister Janet Giffei, brother Harry Munro. Son in law Edward Ortwine. Wife Eunice (Wilson) Munro. Wife Mary (Kightlinger) Munro. Longtime companion May Childress.

Memorial Service will be 1pm Saturday September 18, 2021 at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home with Daniel Price officiating.
