Cleo Keaton, age 96, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Thursday, September 09, 2021, at NHC Healthcare of Lawrenceburg.  She was a native of Lawrence County, TN, retired seamstress from Kay Windsor, and a member of Pulaski Street Church of Christ. 
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanford Joel and Maud Ella Sims Clayton; her husband, Arther Edwin Keaton; one son, James Keaton; five sisters, Lillian Prince, Alpha Eckert, Grace Gobbell, Margie Stockard, and Ruby Clayton; and six brothers, Orville Clayton, Rawleigh "Bill" Clayton, Clifford Clayton, Wylie Clayton, Ernest Clayton, and Wilburn Clayton.
 
She is survived by two sons, Joe Keaton (Connie) of Murfreesboro, TN and Jackie Keaton (Beth) of Leoma, TN; one daughter-in-law, Lynn Keaton of Summertown, TN; eight grandchildren, Steve Keaton (Michelle) of Spring Hill, TN, Rhonda Umphrey (Bryan) of Lavergne, TN, Sondra Porter (Clyde) of Murfreesboro, TN, Ryan Keaton (Deadra) of Waynesboro, TN, Scott Keaton of Oak Ridge, TN, Tad Keaton (Angela) of Killen, AL, Jill Fiala (Steve) of Lascassas, TN, and Taela Jeffries (Josh) of Lawrenceburg, TN; thirteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.  Those serving as pallbearers are Steve Keaton, Scott Keaton, Ryan Keaton, Tad Keaton, Kevin Umphrey, and Garrett Umphrey.
 
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Monday, September 13, 2021, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Monday, September 13, 2021, with Jacob Evans officiating.  Interment will follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN.  The family suggests memorials be made to Pulaski Street Church of Christ Youth Group.  Condolences may be sent by way of our website at www.nealfuneralhome.net.
