Mrs. Barbara Ann Sloss of Pulaski passed peacefully into eternal life early Tuesday morning, August 24, 2021.


Barbara Ann “Kitten” Sloss was born on August 26, 1945 in Pulaski, Tennessee to the late John D. Marsh and Sarah F. Marsh. . Barbara is preceded in death by her father, John. D. Marsh, and her sister, Delores Thomas.


Barbara had a passion for sewing and worked as a seamstress at Morning Pride Manufacturing Company in Dayton, Ohio for many years. She often made beautifully handmade quilts that she gave to her loved ones. Barbara was very intelligent and seemed to know something about everything. She gave good advice, always had time to listen, loved her family dearly, and was a strong believer in Christ.
Barbara met her husband, Forest Wilbur Sloss, early in life and they were later married. During their 60 years of marriage they were blessed with one daughter, Kareion.
Barbara is loved deeply by her family and will be sadly missed by those close and dear to her whose lives she touched.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Forest Sloss of Pulaski, Tennessee; her mother, Sarah Marsh of Pulaski, Tennessee; her daughter, Kareion Casey of Dayton, Ohio; her grandchildren, Yalonda (Aundray) Robinson and Andre’ English both from Dayton, Ohio; her great-grandchildren, Dante’ Lander, Devon Lander, Aubrielle Robinson, Aundray Robinson II, all of Dayton, Ohio and Londyn English of Toronto, Canada; four brothers, Steve (Sheila) Marsh, John Nathan (Sandra) Marsh both of Huntsville, Alabama, Donald Marsh and Dennis Marsh both of Pulaski, Tennessee; two sisters, Brenda (Steve) Foreman of Dayton, Ohio and Donna Marsh of Pulaski, Tennessee; her special friend, Melonise Brown; numerous nieces, nephews, a host of cousins, and other relatives and friends.
Public viewing for Mrs. Barbara Ann Sloss will be held Sunday, August 29, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Jordan Funeral Home 327 Mill Street, Pulaski, Tennessee. Graveside service will follow beginning 11:00 a.m. Sunday, August 29, 2021 in Maplewood Cemetery 500 Ballentine Street, Pulaski, Tennessee.
Social distancing and wearing of masks is strongly encouraged.
