Carolyn Mae Ison, age 79 of West Union, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Keestone Assisted Living facility in Lawrenceburg, TN. She had a Master’s degree in social work and was retired from the Veteran’s Administration. After retiring she worked for the ADAMHS board, and once she retired from that, she continued to work as a consultant for several years. In her spare time she loved reading, cross stitching, collecting antiques and she also loved the Christmas Holiday.

She is preceded in death by her Husband, Richard Ison; Parents, John Charles Scott and Rosella Grigsby Scott; Sister, Virginia Ann Keller; Great Aunt, Loretta “Boots” Grigsby; Great Nephew, Connor Lee Keller.

She is survived by her Son, James John Carcutt (Annie); Daughter, Jennifer Lyn Austin (Dennis); Grandchildren, Faith, Georgia, and Noah Austin, Jordan Carcutt, Andrew Mullins; Great Grandchild, Henry Mullins; nieces and nephews, Kelly, Scott, and Chris Keller.

Visitation will be held at the Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m.

Interment will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery
