Margy Ann Denman Benson, age 86, of Summertown, TN passed away Thursday, August 19, 2021, at NHC Healthcare of Scott in Lawrenceburg, TN.  She was a native of Iola, TX, retired from South Central Human Resource Agency, a former member of the Lawrence County Home Demonstration Club and Mt. Horeb Baptist Church. 

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Howell Benson; her father and step-mother, Marvin and Dora Denman; her mother, Bonnie Wren Denman; and two sisters, Ruth Sollock and Edna McMorrough.

 

She is survived by two daughters, Renea Johnson of Savannah, TN and Suzy (Joe) Taylor of Summertown, TN; four grandchildren, Adam (Jessica) Johnson, Amy (Brad) Hosea, Sara (James) Lopp, Emily (Jason) Cross; nine great-grandchildren, Christian, Cierra, Caitlyn, Cash, Cruz, Audrey, Taylor, Lilabelle, and Magnolia; six siblings, Jimmy Hart, Marvin Denman, Sharon Anderson, Sue James, Paulette Smith, and Darlene O'Riley; sister-in-law, Betty Benson (Clarence) Smith; numerous nieces and nephews. 

 

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Mt. Horeb Baptist Church.  A memorial service will be conducted at Mt. Horeb Baptist Church at 3:00 PM Saturday, August 28, 2021.  A second memorial service will be held at a later date in Texas.  The family suggests memorials be made to the charity of your choice.  Condolences may be sent by way of our website at www.nealfuneralhome.net.
