Joseph “Joe” Allen Woodard of Lynnville, passed away on Friday July 2, at his home in Lynnville, TN. He was born on February 2nd, 1939, in Lynnville, Tennessee and was 82 years old.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Joe was a member of the Lynnville Church of Christ. He was a Mason and Shriner. He enjoyed fishing and farming. He always supported his family’s athletic activities. Joe always put family first.

Visitation will be 11:00 until 2:00 Monday, July 5, 2021, at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will follow at 2:00pm Monday, July 5, 2021, in the chapel of Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home with Bro. Milton Stevens officiating.

Burial will follow in the Lynnwood Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Lynnville Church of Christ c/o 1540 Main Street Lynnville, TN. 38472.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Whitworth Woodard, son Joseph Anthony “Tony” Woodard. Parents JD and Effie Compton Woodard. Sister-in-laws, Eva Woodard, Julia “JuJu” Whitworth and Elaine Compton. Brothers and sister-in-laws, Troy (Wynell) Whitworth, William (Katherine) Whitworth, Betty Jean (Billy) Hastings, Perry (Sue) Whitworth, Mary (Stokely) Crabtree, brother-in-law’s Joe Taylor, Wayne White, and Dempsey Holder.

He is survived by his,

Daughter, Terri (Steve) Atkinson of Centerville.

Daughter, Tracy (Darrell) Armstrong of Pulaski.

Son, Ted (Sinia) Woodard of Lynnville

Grandchildren, Jessica (Jonathan) Hickerson, Joseph (Dana) Woodard, Jamie Burns, Whit (Trinity) Folsom, Elissa (Travis) O’Gorman, Cassie (Garold) Redman, Brittany Armstrong, Toni Darra Armstrong, Amber Woodard, Hannah Woodard, and Shana Woodard

Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive.
