James Steve Sanders of Prospect passed away Monday, June 21, 2021 at St. Thomas West Hospital. He was born on March 8, 1946 in Pulaski, TN and was 75 years old.

Steve was a graduate of Prospect High School. He was employed with Gabriel for 42 years. Steve was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Steve was a member of the Fairview Church of Christ in Pulaski, TN. He loved cattle farming, traveling out West, and was a good Christian man. The joy of his life was his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 4:00pm-7:00pm Wednesday June 23, 2021 at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held 10:00am on Thursday June 24, 2021 in the Chapel of Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home with Bro. Brandon Griggs officiating.

Burial will follow in the Potts Cemetery in Prospect, TN.

He was preceded in death by his parents James “Jimmy” Wesley and Lorena Dickson Sanders, brother Bobby Dean Sanders, Mother and father- in- law, Robert and Mary Ann King, his nephew Ryan Mooneyhan, beloved bassett hound Oscar.

He is survived by his;

Wife, Judy King Sanders of Prospect, TN

2 Sons, Greg (Denise) Sanders and Mark (Cassie) Sanders all of Prospect, TN.

Grandchild Seth (Kristen) Sanders, Tyler Sanders, P.J. (Rachael) Sanders, Jayson Hamilton, Katie Sanders, Kacie Sanders.

Great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Collin, Dawson

Sister-n-law, Peggy Sanders of Prospect, TN 

Side- kicks, Goldie & Holly

Many nieces, nephews, and friends also survive.
