 Betty June Lawrence Thompson passed away Monday morning, May 24, 2021, at Athens Limestone Hospital in Athens, Alabama. She was born on June 23, 1930 in Minor Hill, Tennessee and was 90 years old.

June loved her family and cherished the time she spent with them. She was a member of the Salem Springs Baptist Church. June retired from W. E. Stephens Mfg. Co. She loved quilting and her flower gardens.

Visitation will be 1:00 until 3:00 Thursday, May 27, 2021, at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home.

The funeral service will follow at 3:00pm in the chapel of Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home.

The interment will be at the Minor Hill Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Onis (Mutt) and Tula Mae Prosser Lawrence. Her husband Joe Donald (J.D.) Thompson. Her great-granddaughter, Janna Grace Wakefield.

She is survived by her;

Daughter, Melissa (Terry) Thompson of Athens, Alabama.

Granddaughter, Teryn (Keith) White of Elkmont, Alabama.

Grandson, Dwight (Shanna) Thompson of Elkmont, Alabama.

Grandson, Kenny (Beth) Thompson of Athens, Alabama.

Great-grandchildren, Keaton and Lawson White. James, Wyatt, and Harper Thompson.

Several nieces and nephews also survive.
