Viva Sue Shaffer Williams, age 91, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2021.

 

Mrs. Williams grew up as a youth in Lawrenceburg, TN.  For 60 years, Mrs. Williams lived in Wheelersburg, Ohio.  Her favorite pastimes were her family, gardening, cooking and helping her husband, Shorty, work on the farm. 

 

She is survived by her daughter, Pam Williams Ishie of Nashville, TN; sister, Shelby Jean Phillips of Lawrenceburg, TN; grandchildren, Maria Nicole Williams and Charles Paul Williams of Chillicothe, OH and Elizabeth Ishie Farris (Matt) of Collierville, TN.

 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. "Shorty" Williams, Jr., parents, John Wiley Shaffer, Sr. and Eunice Pearl Shaffer, her son, Charles "Tim" Williams; and brother, John Wiley "Bud" Shaffer, Jr.

 

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Saturday, May 22, 2021, at Neal Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 3:00 PM Saturday, May 22, 2021, with Reggie Coleman officiating.  Interment will follow at Mimosa Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN.  In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial contribution, designated "In Memory of Viva Sue Williams", to Nashville Alzheimer's Association, 4825 Trousdale Drive #220, Nashville, TN  37220.  Condolences may be sent by way of our website at www.nealfuneralhome.net.
