Darrell Phagon Valentine was born in Lawrenceburg, TN on August 14, 1962 and passed away peacefully on Wednesday February 10, 2021 at the age of 58 in Houston, TX.  He was born to Robert Valentine Jr. and Martha Ellen Waldrop Valentine.

Anyone who met Darrell knew what a passion he had for his business.  Darrell began his business with a little Red Truck that grew into a successful company over the years.  Within the last few years, Darrell had returned to Lawrenceburg and began to rebuild its downtown area.  He brought a new life to his childhood hometown.  Darrell touched so many lives. He was generous and took care of so many people.  He was a true friend to all who that knew him and he will be dearly missed.

Darrell had a passion for the Lord and was extremely grateful for the many blessings that he had been given.  While we all miss him so very much, we know that he is rejoicing in the arms of his Lord and Savior.  We all look forward to the day we see him again.

Darrell had a love and passion for cooking.  His goal was to one day open a BBQ restaurant. His family became his loving test subjects for his creative cooking and boy did they get to eat the good the bad and the ugly. Darrell also had a love of the great outdoors.  He loved fishing, camping, boating and horseback riding. He was looking forward to spending his retirement doing the things that he loved.

Darrell is survived by his loving wife Ronda Jane Valentine, sons; Adam and wife Vicki Valentine, Caleb and Cameron Valentine, grandson Arthur Valentine; siblings Alese Willis, Danette Winkler, and Merrill Valentine along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Valentine Jr. and mother, Martha Ellen Valentine; brother Kevin Valentine.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.
