Raymond Leon Haywood, age 78, of Columbia, TN passed away Saturday, April 3, 2021, at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN.  He was a native of Mt. Joy, TN, retired from Columbia Power and Water Systems, and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He also loved gardening, antique cars, and classic cars. 

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Lillian Sims Haywood; his wife of 59 years, Opal Garland Haywood; one brother, Bobby Haywood; and one sister, Dean Haywood.

 

He is survived by one son, Ronnie Haywood of Columbia, TN; and was loved by all who knew him.

 

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday, April 9, 2021, at Neal Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Saturday, April 10, 2021, with Elder Al Chappell officiating.  Interment will follow at Macedonia Cemetery in Lawrence County, TN.  Condolences may be sent by way of our website at www.nealfuneralhome.net.
