John Patel of Pulaski died Tuesday, He was born in India and was 53 years old.

John was the owner of the Richland Inn in Pulaski and Lewisburg for many years. His love for Giles County was shown by his giving nature to our community. He was involved in numerous civic organizations and activities including, President of the Chamber of Commerce, President of the Boys and Girls Club, Leadership Giles County, Governors One Shot Turkey Hunt, Civitan Club, and The Trail of Tears.

Services will be 3:00pm Saturday in the chapel of Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home.

Visitation will follow the ceremony until 5:00pm.

He is survived by his Wife, Alpa Patel, Son, Shiv Patel, Father, Dileep Patel, Brother, Hemang Patel, Sisters, Harita and Parul Patel, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements for John Patel.
