Walter G. Tallent, Sr. of Frankewing died on December 5, 2017. He was born in Frankewing, and was 93 years old.

He attended Frankewing and Beech Hill schools and served in the Army during WW2.

Visitation will be on Saturday, from 10:00am until 12:00 pm at Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home.

A celebration of life service and burial will be held at Wright Cemetery on Saturday at 1:00pm with full military honors.

He is survived by two sons Walter G. Tallent, Jr. of Oakbrook, Illinois and George Michael Tallent of Lakeway, Texas.

One daughter Rosemarie Tallent-Yoon and husband Charles of Memphis, and a sister Lillian Tallent-Foster of Nashville.

Numerous grandchildren and other relatives also survive.
