Ruth Carden Dunavant, age 92 of Pulaski, passed away Thursday October 13, 2022 at her home.

Mrs. Dunavant was born February 25, 1930 to Kirk and Mary Lou Sanders Carden. She worked for 20 years at South Central Resources, member of the Baptist faith, she loved playing piano and listening to gospel music, and loved her family dearly. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 64yrs. Emmitt Dunavant, sisters Margaret Parsons, Nell Odum, and her brother John Harwood Carden.

Visitation will be Sunday October 16, 2022 from 12 to 2pm at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home with funeral to follow at 2. Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery.

Survivors include her sons David Dunavant (Janice) of Pulaski, Paul Dunavant (Brenda) of Pulaski, grandchildren James Robert Dunavant, Michael Paul Dunavant, Amanda Dunavant, Michael Dunavant, Wendy Watson, numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, special caregivers and friends Arlene Ray, Wanda Medley and Melinda Hodges.
