Scherrie Ann Townsend of Minor Hill died October 2nd at her residence.  She was born in Fayetteville and was 71 years old. Scherrie was a veteran of the Marines and worked as an LPN.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 11th form 3:00pm until 6:00pm at Bennett-May and Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory

Services will follow at 6:00pm in the chapel of Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory with James Jean officiating.

Survivors include Daughters, Brandi and husband Dewayne White of Minor Hill and Stephanie and husband Jim White of Iowa, Sons, Bill and wife Lindsey Townsend of Germany, Jamie and wife Michelle Colvert of Iowa, and James and wife Cindy Jean of Madison, 16 Grandchildren,  4 Great grandchildren, Sister, Leslie Johnson of Fayetteville, Brothers, Jeff and wife Jane Dye of Fayetteville, Britt and wife Melody Dye of Fayetteville, and Pete and wife Betty Dye of North Carolina, Several nieces and nephews also survive.
